"My name is Emily, and when I was 12, I was super shy—seriously, I wouldn't even speak during school presentations! My mom signed me up for ‘Muévete, Muévete,’ and at first I wanted to run away. But something magical happened after a few weeks: I discovered I had a voice of my own. Today I’m a host, and I love researching topics that affect kids my age. Bullying, the environment, technology… we talk about everything without holding back. The coolest part is when we improvise on the air and laugh at our own mistakes. This show taught me that it's okay to make mistakes and that the important thing is to keep trying. And now I even help the new guys get over their fear of the microphone!"😍Emily Bustos (14 years old, Ecuadorian) - Host.
"Hi, everyone! My name is Gabriel, and I'm the youngest on the team, but I have the biggest stories, ha ha! I arrived in Ecuador just five years ago, and at first it was hard because I missed my country, Venezuela. At school, people teased me about my accent until one day my teacher invited me to join "Muévete, Muévete".And boom! I discovered that making people laugh is my superpower. Now I tell jokes, make up the weirdest stories, and talk about the rights we kids have. My favorite part is when we make up characters with different voices. I can do about three different voices—even my grandma’s! The coolest thing is that I don’t care where I’m from anymore, because at the microphone we’re all equal, and our ideas fly free like birds”.😛 Gabriel (12 years old, from Venezuela) - Storyteller and joke teller.
"I'm Brayan from Saraguro, and my passion is telling the stories of my town. When I joined ‘Muévete, Muévete’ three years ago, I was afraid that nobody would be interested in my traditions. I was completely wrong! Here, I learned to blend our ancestral tales with current topics, and the result is incredible. My grandmother taught me to tell stories from the heart, and now I use that technique in every episode we produce. We record in Quichua and Spanish, and many children write to me saying that, thanks to us, they're proud of their roots. It has also changed me as a person: I used to be very quiet, but now my mom says there's no stopping me. This program gave me the power of my own voice and taught me that our cultural differences are our greatest strength".🤗 Brayan Namicela (16, Saraguro) - Storyteller and editor.
“Hi, everyone! I'm Juan, and being part of ‘Muévete, Muévete’ has completely changed my life. When I joined two years ago, I could barely speak into a microphone without my voice shaking. Now, I edit entire segments and host the radio show with a confidence I can hardly believe myself. The best part is being able to express my ideas and knowing that other kids my age are listening to me.The other day, a kid from my neighborhood recognized me by my voice and said, “You’re the guy from the radio!” What an incredible feeling! Here, I’ve learned that our opinions really do matter and that we can change the world with our words".😀 Juan Bustos (15 years old, Ecuadorian) - Host and editor of the radio magazine.
"Hi there! My name is Sarita, and I've been with ‘Muévete, Muévete’ for four years. I started out just like any other contestant, and now I’m a producer on the show. Can you believe it? My story is a little different because my parents came to Ecuador from Colombia before I was even born, which is why I cherish both my Ecuadorian and Colombian cultures so much. This show has become my second family. What I'm most passionate about is shaping the crazy ideas we come up with and turning them into content that really matters. We coordinate interviews, head out onto the streets with recorders, and give a voice to those who aren't usually heard. Sometimes I get to be the “big sister” of the group, but I learn so much from the little ones… their creativity knows no bounds! This experience has taught me that communication knows no borders or age limits”.😎 Sarita (19, Ecuadorian-Colombian) - Host and producer.
